The concept, centered on an abstraction of water, features a reflective, battered steel ceiling that replicates the shimmering effect of sunlight on water, recreating the playfulness and serenity found on the shores of Bhopal’s lakes. We complemented this illusion with a slatted wooden ceiling, set against a vibrant green tile backdrop—a homage to the city’s lush greenery. Subtle nods to wheat fields were further woven intricately into the airport design to honor the agrarian history of Madhya Pradesh.

We proposed touchless drinking water fountains, single-surface sinks, touchless soap and towel dispensers, sleek faucets and integrated trash bins to prioritize hygiene while ensuring efficient maintenance, reflecting Bhopal’s forward-thinking spirit. We also introduced a waterfall effect in restrooms, using specially designed taps to bring a nature-inspired tranquility to the space.
